IT IS PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY IF YOUR CHILD:

* Attempts suicide or expresses serious thoughts about attempting suicide.

* Experiences uncontrollable anxiety.

* Acts destructive or otherwise acts out-of-control and cannot be restrained.

* Hears or sees things that do not exist.

Some options include a hospital emergency room, a family doctor, a community mental health agency or a suicide prevention or crisis center.
